A couple weeks ago, I took an exam and passed it. This exam? It was the ACE personal training exam. Which means... I am now a certified personal trainer! I am so excited. I had my first consultation today and it was such a blast. We talked nutrition, exercise, I tested her body fat, we did some basic fitness test, I showed her a couple exercises, answered more questions.... loved it! I was so happy to help her.
I thought that sharing this with you guys would also be a good time to tell you that I want to start a little "12 week weight loss challenge" on Monday. Several people have already emailed me- if you're interested, send me your email address too. My goal is to email everyone (as a group, but we can chat back and forth privately if you want) once a week or so to check in with your goals. If you have any questions I would love to help answer them as well!
At the same time, I'm also going to enter myself into this contest on Bodybuilding.com You actually enter send in your before picture (taken with a newspaper by your side) and then submit your "after" picture at the end of the 12 weeks. The winner gets 10K along with a slew of other exciting things. I thought it would just be extra motivation and fun to do. So if you are joining me, you might as well enter into the Bodybuilding.com contest too. :)
I have to check on this, but I'm almost positive that no one sees the before and after picture unless you win. When you send in your picture it doesn't automatically go online or anything like that.
Make sure you read everything on there if you decide to do that - it's pretty simple but you do have to open up an account and send in your pictures with a newspaper so the date is showing. They have a "Q & A" section on the main page I linked to that is helpful. If you sign up for this, you don't have to follow any specific diet plan or training plan. You can do whatever you want.
The top 4 fat loss programs are HERE. You could follow one of those exactly for the 12 weeks or just use ideas from each one of them.
If you want to join us, send me an email! (mamanotes@gmail.com) I really suggest taking a before picture. It truly is the best measurement of how far you've came. The scale is a liar!
Let me know if you have any questions :)

Could you tell me as a part time nursing mom (Baby is 15 months and only nurses 2-3 times a day) how many calories I should have? Do I even need to count myself as nursing anymore since he is eating enough food to sustain him? Thanks!
well done! I look forward to reading your updates. By the way, you've been tagged! If you want to plant along please see my post at: http://housewivesincorporated.blogspot.com/2012/02/tag-youre-it.html Regards, x
